How much is too much?

There are varying levels of loyal fans. You have the ones who speak highly of the ones they admire, the ones who attend concerts or games, the ones who attend ALL concerts and games dressed like the person they are supporting, and even the ones who create social media sites dedicated to these idols.
Many celebrities have their own twitter accounts, but fans will create “fan twitters” or “fan pages” dedicated for fans to discuss and share their interests. Some bizarre twitter accounts have emerged, however. At the 84th Academy Awards, Angelina Jolie exposed her right leg in a pose and it went viral! A twitter account (@AngiesRightLeg) emerged. There are thousands of twitter accounts, such as @KimKDashLover, that tweet news, pictures, and other information about celebrities. What is worse it that some celebrities follow these accounts, encouraging obsessive fans to continue wasting time posting pictures of them. In a way this is allows for a participatory culture, because fans are able to somehow interact with celebrities, athletes, etc… and produce content.
A line should not be crossed when you are a fan. Attending concerts, games, and waiting hours in line for an autograph is sane. If you are following an individual or group across the country – or around the world – you really need to relax. That is obsessive, not to mention extremely time consuming.
