Out with the old and in with the new
The discussion of reality TV is something we strive to understand. Why do we enjoy it so much? Could it be that we are a society that feels compelled to follow the lives of others. Or do we enjoy observing lives that are different from ours. Either way we feel we choose what we watch. But do we? In fact, according to some scholars we don't choose what we watch. They make the claim that those from the elite class chooses what is produced and distributed to the public. The same content is being recycled and issued to us as new and innovated. Yet in fact this is not true. The next time you turn on the television stop to observe what content is available and how content is similar. It is disturbing to witness drive-thur content in my era. Content that no longer holds any other purposes but to entertain. We are the producers of the future. With so many new ways to create content such as YouTube and blogs. It is not hard to see New avenues to create fresh content that serves a higher purpose.
