House: True view of medicine in real life? Kevin M

When we were watching the TV show in class, it made me start to think what other TV shows I watch and what some characteristics they present.  This idea stayed in my head until the end of class then I forgot about it.  That night, I started to watch House season 1 on Netflix. When I was two episodes in, I started to notice some of the gender things we saw in "Work It". The way House talks to Cutty and Cameron, the way he puts Foreman in the standard African group.  It showed how we stereotype certain people in work settings and the way we acted and work with them.  I know that House is a very extreme form of this but as we go into real life, could this be present more often.  I see in the job as a BPO specialist.  I see how more areas have their houses foreclosed upon then others and hear stories how the former homeowners act when they are evicted.  In House, these ideas do present themselves throughout the whole series because the storylines every week and house self-medicates himself into almost oblivion.  It makes me believe that even when we are trying not to put people into these groups they still will come up because what we view every day and how people act around us.
