Fame
In class, we discussed the quote, "In the future, everybody will be famous for 15 minutes" by Andy Warhol. Personally, I believe this quote to be true. Fame to me is when someone is recognized for an influence they have had on the media. The idea of fame varies from person to person since some see fame as being a Hollywood actor and others see it as being a person who has a positive impact on humanity. In everyone's lifetime, they are bound to get some sort of recognition or 'fame' in some way. No matter the idea of what people believe fame to be, they are going to experience it in their lifetime. A popular question to think about is how far will people go for some level of fame? Reality TV shows are a good indicator as to how far people go for money and attention. It is sad to see young reality stars who earn their ‘fame’ for basically doing nothing but selling themselves, when there are thousands of people in the world who do more heroic things and see no credit nor do they reap the benefits that reality stars do.
