What exactly is fame? Fame is hard to define because everyone has their own opinion and definition for what the term actually represents. As discussed in class, it is hard to know if everyone will have their "15 minutes of fame" or not because it depends on what type and extent of fame you are referring to. In my eyes, everyone will have 15 minutes of fame because the degrees of fame vary. For instance, you don't need to be a celebrity or musician that is known nationally to be considered famous. Many people come from a smaller town but do something important and make a name for themselves by doing something bad or good and become locally know and consider themselves to have fame. Social media is also making a strong impact on our society and bringing people to fame by creating internet sensations and "Facebook" or "Youtube" celebrities. Everyone is different, some people consider the cast of "Jersey Shore" to be famous and others laugh at the idea and only believe presidents or past historians are actually famous. It all depends on the type of person you are and what you believe. I think we will all have our share of time in the spotlight at some point in time.
