When people talk about, "being famous" I see it as a time when one has hit most of the platforms of mass media. What I mean by that is, this person is being mentioned on the radio, online, television, internet, newspapers, magazines, etc. I suppose this is the more modern view on fame (because of the lack of technology back in the day). Sadly, this can be done with or without any talent. If we look at someone like Leonardo Da Vinci, it is obvious why this man is famous; not only was he an inventor, he was a brilliant artist, a scientist, biologist, painter, sculptor, architect, mathematician, geologist, and much more. It is understandable and discernible how such a person was, and still is, famous. Now turn the page to Kim Kardashian and let's observe her talents...none. I do not see anything brilliant about this woman and what she has contributed to society to get the spotlight that she does. She is probably a nice person, I will not get into the details of her personality, but can anyone point anything intelligent she has done to benefit society, or any talents she has to present. I feel like money is the driving force nowadays; if you are willing to do something entertaining for the public and are willing to make a fool out of yourself, you have a chance of being "famous". This does not all have to be negative, people who have something to offer to the world, either through intelligence, singing, dancing talent, etc. deserve such fame. All in all, it is disappointing how certain people get famous nowadays.
